Boulder, CO (PRWEB) July 22, 2015 -- Material management is a critical element in any manufacturing improvement effort, and no one does it better than Toyota. Lean companies use a variety of signaling and delivery methods that when executed properly will virtually eliminate parts shortages on the factory floor. This Lean Material Management workshop focuses on the various Kanban and material management methods in use at Toyota and other leading companies.
Participants will study each of the principal material management methods, and apply these methods in a series of hands-on exercises. They will then have a chance to see the material delivery system in action on the factory floor, at the Toyota Material Handling fork truck plant in Columbus, Indiana. This factory was voted Plant of the Year in 2010 by Plant Engineering Magazine.
