Training Professionals: Weigh-In on the Future of Educational Content
For the fifth year, Omnipress is collecting data through an online survey of association and corporate training and education professionals to better understand trends surrounding educational content, including how learners want to receive content, how organizations provide it, and what changes lie ahead as attendee demographics and preferences change.
MADISON, Wis., Jan. 10, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Omnipress, provider of print and digital content solutions for associations and other organizations, publishes its well-known Training Trends Report using data compiled from an online survey of those who are primarily responsible for the development and delivery of training and credentialing programs. The goal of the report is to provide peer-to-peer benchmarking as well as ideas and trends organizations can use in strategic planning sessions.
"In 2018, we observed that a majority of respondents planned to capitalize on the perceived value training and education by increasing the number of programs they offer," states Dan Loomis, Director of Training and Education Markets at Omnipress. At the same time, however, these same organizations indicated that a focus on core strategic initiatives to support this growth may suffer at the expense of other tasks.
Loomis observes, "Associations were spending a disproportionate amount of time and resources simply managing and distributing their educational content." The reason: the content landscape has become more complex.
According to Jonny Popp, Omnipress General Manager, "Associations were (and still are) dealing with a multitude of factors that weren't as prominent just a few years ago: a more diverse membership base in terms of both demographics and preferences, increased content delivery options, and changing expectations on how and when content is accessed."
What insights will be gained in 2019? Training and education professionals from associations and other organizations are encouraged to contribute to next year's report by completing a 5 to 10-minute confidential online survey. The results will be featured in Omnipress' 2019 Training Trends Report, to be published in late January.
