WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., Nov. 12, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Trans Machine Technologies (TMT) CEO, Barry Leonard, is seeing his dream to create a vertically integrated manufacturing solution realized with TMT's asset acquisition of Wright Metal Products (WMP).
Leonard closed the deal this week, assuming the assets of WMP's 30,000 plus square foot facility in Greenville, South Carolina. WMP specializes in re-engineering services, precision machining, metal fabrication, and steel packaging and is ISO 9001:2015 certified. Combining these assets with TMT's precision CNC machining, casting, forging and metal additive manufacturing capabilities creates a globally competitive and agile solutions provider for customers. The new location will be known as Trans Machine Technologies – South Carolina.
This acquisition brings TMT's manufacturing control in-house, enabling supply chain efficiencies for customers at highly competitive rates. Leonard himself was amazed at the cost efficiencies his new company will be able to achieve, "We can be competitive in the United States; we just have to be smart about it. Both TMT and WMP are major suppliers to multiple industries including transportation, mining, automotive, and OEMs. TMT will maintain warehousing and operations in Winston-Salem along with its additive manufacturing solutions branded under Trans Machine Additive. Casting, forging and machining solutions will continue to be delivered via a global supply chain. The Greenville location will provide re-engineering, machining, turning and fully automated CMM inspection services.
