NEW YORK, October 09, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- TransPerfect, the world's largest provider of language services and technology solutions for global business, today announced the hiring of CCMS and DITA/XML expert Hal Trent. Trent will join the company as Senior Solutions Engineer. He will also assume an advisory position on TransPerfect's technology team, helping to direct the strategy for the company's CCMS technologies: Vasont and Astoria.
As an increasing number of clients show interest in efficient authoring, translation, distribution, and updates of content, TransPerfect has invested heavily in delivering market-leading technologies to facilitate this process. In addition, TransPerfect's Vasont and Astoria divisions offer consulting and training services to allow clients maximized benefits from these tools.
Trent will be tasked with helping TransPerfect clients transition to structured authoring, and he will advise on the direction and feature sets of both the Vasont and Astoria products.
Trent most recently held the position of Chief Technology Officer of Ryffine, a market-leading firm that helps writers develop, manage, and present their content. He brings over 15 years of experience in transforming content to allow companies to operate at the top of the markets throughout the world.
Prior to his time at Ryffine, Trent served as a Senior Consultant at Comtech Services, Inc. There he was a principal developer of style sheets for the DITA Open Toolkit, which is an open-source publishing engine for XML content authored in DITA. Trent played a key role in popularizing the toolkit's extensible plug-in mechanism, which allows users to add their own transformations and customize the default output.
