Premier sales and marketing group fielded survey to assess reasons to use, not use, expectations and reputations of travel representation organizations
DENVER, Sept. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Lush Experiences, http://www.lushexperiences.com, one of travel's premier sales, marketing and representation organizations today released results from its "Travel Representation Survey" that explored the reasons Travel Advisors use and don't use representation organizations as well as what they expect from such organizations. The Survey also quickly ranked travel representation organizations in terms of who advisors turn to most.
"The goal of the "Travel Representation Survey" was to find out the why, why not and what expectations travel advisors have from our industry and to more clearly understand our role and how our work is valued," said Lush Experiences Co-Founder Brad Beaty. Question 1

It is clear that Travel Advisors use and depend on Travel Representation companies in order to best serve their clients. Of the 300+_ total respondents, 92% said they currently work with Travel Representation companies.
Question 2
If you do work with Travel Representation companies, on average how frequently do you engage with them per week?

As with question #1, respondents were overwhelmingly favorable about how often they work with Travel Representation companies. 66% of the Travel Advisors surveyed responded they work with Travel Representation companies 1-2 times per week. 50 responded they work with Travel Representatives 3-4 times per week and a full 25 Travel Advisors said they work with Travel Representation companies 5 times per week.

Since you work with a Travel Representation company, can you tell me why? (Please select up to two of the most important reasons to you)

For this question there were 276 total respondents who said they worked with Travel Representation companies. The response totals were as follows:
VIP Treatment for clients 238 responses (86%)
Information about members/properties/services 204 responses (74%)
Assistance with Bookings 151 responses (55%)
Since two answers could be selected from the list of reasons provided, these results are not ranked in terms of which was first and so on.

Albeit a small percent of overall respondents, those who initially responded they do not work with Travel Representation companies revealed an important finding for those in the field. Among the reasons these Travel Advisors do not work with Travel Representation companies are:
· They Cannot Keep Up with who Represents Who
· They Prefer to Reach Out Directly to the Provider
· They Don't Know How to Engage with Travel Representation companies
Again, it is clear and important that Travel Representation companies work to keep Travel Advisors informed and current about who they represent and make it transparent in terms of how the two parties can and should work together.

Scored on a total points received basis, this question highlighted what respondents felt were the most important attributes of a Travel Representation company regardless of whether they currently work with one or not. The responses measured what attributes were most important to Travel Advisors in terms of considering who to work with. In order of total points received on a 1-5 point basis, the results were as follows:

Methodology
The "Lush Experiences Travel Representation Survey" received 300 responses and was conducted between August 5 and August 19, 2022. The Survey was supplied to approximately 10,000 recipients via email with an opening rate of approximately 38%.
