TrendSource's new I-9 Reverification Program helps companies meet the August 30 deadline to reverify all remotely onboarded employees.
SAN DIEGO, July 31, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- TrendSource—a compliance management firm based in San Diego, CA—launched its new I-9 Reverification platform, one dedicated to quickly reverifying employees who completed their I-9 remotely during the temporary DHS flexibility around in-person verification requirements.
With that flexibility coming to an end, companies have until August 30 to reverify each and every employee who completed Section 2 of Form I-9 remotely. Any employee whose documents were not inspected in-person during their verification, or who did not use E-Verify, must be reverified by this rapidly approaching deadline.
"I think the change caught some people by surprise," observed TrendSource CEO Victoria Hyzer. "And that's why it's important to have a strong compliance partner at your back, because TrendSource is ready for this, we're ready to help."
Indeed, meeting the DHS reverification deadline represents a massive undertaking for businesses with remote employees spread across the country.
TrendSource utilizes its proprietary, nationwide database of Field Agents to help clients speed this process along, pairing employees with Authorized Representatives who can meet them in-person and reverify their I-9 as required by DHS.
TrendSource I-9 Reverifications save companies the expense and inconvenience of scheduling in-person reverifications for each of their employees, essentially outsourcing the reverification process to TrendSource. With Field Agents across the country and over a decade of industry experience, TrendSource has the infrastructure and expertise to help ensure companies remain complaint and meet the August 30 Reverification Deadline.
"The clock is ticking," noted TrendSource Client Success Manager Veronica Cruz. "Risk averse companies need to meet this deadline, and a lot of them simply cannot do it on their own."
TrendSource I-9 Reverifications can be ordered online, and once the original I-9 is ported into TrendSource's system either via .pdf or API, the reverification process begins. The employee is assigned a Field Agent who reaches out to set up a meeting, and the reverification takes place in a public space of the employees' choosing.
TrendSource Field Agents can quickly pivot to completing an entirely new Section 2 instead of a reverification if the employee does not have the same documents they originally used or the documents have expired.
As the August 30 deadline nears, companies are in a tight squeeze to get their employees reverified. TrendSource's new reverification platform helps relieve some of that pressure.
