TRIC Showcases Pipe Bursting Equipment at Annual SF Blue Book Showcase
Alameda, CA (PRWEB) June 05, 2015 -- Pipe Bursting manufacturer TRIC Tools, Inc. traveled to the heart of the Silicon Valley for the Annual Blue Book San Francisco Network & Showcase on May 28th. The event was held at the Santa Clara Marriott, 2700 Mission College Blvd, Santa Clara, CA from 1:30 pm through 7 pm. This was TRIC’s first year exhibiting at the conference for construction and engineering contractors. Sales Executive Jay Battin and Technician Duane Cromleigh showcased TRIC’s signature X30 pipe bursting equipment at the event. The showcase allowed sub contractors to meet prime contractors and product suppliers. It gave attendees the chance to learn about upcoming project opportunities and share their qualifications with key decision makers. Attendance was free with hors d’oeuvres and adult beverages all included in the one-day event. Renee Crutchley, TRIC’s Blue Book representative, made certain that TRIC had a prime location for this showcase event. Renee and her fellow Blue Book associates diligently made sure all of the vendors and attendees enjoyed themselves and valued the time they invested in the event.
There were numerous contractors at the event who were new to TRIC and its pipe bursting technology for replacing underground sewer, gas and water pipes with minimal excavation. Jay Battin said, “With the X30 in the booth many contractors got thinking about ‘subs’ they’ve worked with before, who could use the X30 in their tool kit.” He continued, “I enjoyed explaining this ‘new’ technology to many of those who visited the booth.”
The Blue Book is a regional directory of commercial construction professionals that work with area architects, engineers, regional and national manufacturers. Walter F. O’Malley started The Blue Book, originally called the Subcontractors Register, with his uncle Joseph O'Malley in the 1930’s. O’Malley went on to start a successful law firm and later became a legal representative for the Brooklyn Dodgers. In 1944, he acquired a minority interest in the team and along with Branch Rickey, helped the Dodgers sign Jackie Robinson the first black major league baseball player. His son Peter O’Malley continued in his father’s footsteps and was president and later owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers until 1998. Peter, now aged 83, is still involved in the operation of The Blue Book.
TRIC invented and patented the first Lateral Pipe Bursting System while simultaneously gaining national approval of HDPE pipe for its use, thus opening the market for trenchless home sewer replacement in America.
