Trident University's Business School Names New Associate Dean
Effective March 11th, Dr. Jill Johnson has assumed the role of Associate Dean for Trident's Glenn R. Jones College of Business. Dr. Johnson is an experienced academic administrator, instructor, and researcher who has built a career focused on improving student success.
CYPRESS, Calif., March 22, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Trident University International (Trident) has appointed Dr. Jill Johnson as Associate Dean, Glenn R. Jones College of Business, effective Monday, March 11th. She has instructed at Trident since 2011, teaching courses in business technology, business communication, and political science.
Dr. Johnson's leadership roles in academia include Acting VP of Academic Affairs, Department Chair, and Associate Dean at Argosy University, Campus President at National American University, and Academic Director at the Art Institutes of Minnesota.

During her time in higher education Dr. Johnson has displayed a hands-on approach and students-first attitude. She has assembled a resume that includes experience with developing new programs, overseeing accreditation and assessment processes, curriculum development, serving as a dissertation chair, and teaching at the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels.
Dr. Johnson has conducted academic research centering on student success, especially in underserved populations. She has been invited to present research at the Midwest Qualitative Research Conference and participated in a roundtable for college presidents at Oxford University. Additionally, she testified before the Minnesota House Finance Committee on challenges of grade retention in 2011.
Dr. Johnson earned a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of St. Thomas, a Master of Arts in Public Administration from Hamline University in Saint Paul, MN, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. She also holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Psychology from Argosy University.
