CHANDLER, Ariz., Aug. 20, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Trident at American InterContinental University (Trident) will host its next CORE webinar, "Virtual Leadership from Theoretical & Applied Perspectives," on Thursday, August 20 at 4 p.m. Pacific.
Dr. Indira Guzman, Doctoral Studies Director in Trident's Glenn R. Jones College of Business, and Dr. George Belsom, Faculty Member and Trident Ph.D. graduate, will lead this presentation.
This webinar will examine virtual leadership from a practical approach and from the perspective of a dissertation. Key applied topics to be discussed include an overview of virtual leadership, why it's important in the current business world, and how it impacts employee performance.
Dr. Belsom will also review the process from his Ph.D. dissertation, "The Impact of a Virtual Leader's Communication Style on Virtual Team Performance," his findings, and their implications for both theory and practice.
The content in this presentation should appeal to students currently enrolled in Trident's Ph.D. in Business Administration and Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) programs. Students from other doctoral programs, those interested in a doctoral program, and those interested in the subject matter are welcome to attend.
Launched in May 2015, the CORE webinar series is designed to provide faculty, students, and alumni an opportunity to share their research and skills with the Trident community.
Coordinating this effort are Trident's Doctoral Studies Directors, Dr. Ryan Dwight, College of Health and Human Services, Dr. Indira Guzman, Glenn R. Jones College of Business, Dr. Wenling Li, College of Education, and Dr. Heidi Smith, Dean, College of Education. Each college takes turns hosting webinars throughout the year, covering subject matter relevant to Trident's six doctoral programs.
Over the course of more than 40 webinars, the CORE series has served as a forum for development for doctoral students and alumni, covering the Ph.D. dissertation process, writing for doctoral research, publishing in academic journals, and more. Past presenters include Trident faculty members and doctoral alumni.
"Virtual Leadership from Theoretical & Applied Perspectives" will be presented on Thursday, August 20 at 4 p.m. Pacific. Register here.
