Lakeland, FL & Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) September 02, 2015 -- SonicSurg Innovations, an orthopedic device company that is commercializing products for the upper extremity surgical market, announced today that more than 600 successful patient procedures have been performed utilizing its Trigger Tome® surgical instrument for trigger releases in the hand. Plus, nearly 70 of these procedures have been on triggering thumbs.
SonicSurg founder & CEO, Brian M. Jurbala, M.D., commented "We are extremely pleased with the results to date, and patient satisfaction has exceeded our expectations. Patients appreciate the minimally invasive nature of the procedure, and surgeons appreciate the convenience of an office-based environment." The Trigger Tome procedure is more accurate, less expensive and allows the patient to return to normal activity much faster than current open surgery protocol. Instruments are available to surgeon customers sterile and disposable.
The Company will be attending the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH) in Seattle from September 10-12, 2015 (http://www.assh.org). This will the 5th consecutive year that SonicSurg has exhibited at the ASSH, which is the premiere annual international conference and convention for orthopedic hand surgeons. Dr. Jurbala is also teaching an MSK ultrasound course in Seattle the day before the annual conference begins. The course trains orthopaedic surgeons in the diagnostic and interventional use of ultrasound, and helps them integrate this technology into their practices.
SonicSurg is scheduled to begin design efforts on additional new products in the next 90 days.
