The team launched their new and improved version, TRIO and TRIO Pro, on Kickstarter. Lighter and more compact than their sibling, TRIO and TRIO Pro are the perfect solution for individuals who simply need more screen space and are always on the go.
Mobile Pixels, an award-winning startup backed by MIT and Northeastern University, raised more than $1.4 million for DUEX last year on Kickstarter and Indiegogo combined. After shipping DUEX to backers worldwide, they began taking user feedback and worked to improve their flagship product. TRIO is the result.
The improved dual, or triple, screen laptop accessory boosts productivity by allowing for the multi-screen experience while working on the go.

In addition to creating a dual screen experience, customers are now able to purchase two TRIO monitors and clip them together for a three-screen setup. One monitor can offer up to 270° in rotation to create the perfect viewing angle for any situation. For even more flexibility, users can clip two monitors together at a 180° rotation to form a triangle, which is perfect for group presentations.
Like their predecessor DUEX, TRIO is compatible with any Mac, Linux, Chrome or Android device via a USB connection and uses one cable for both power and data. In addition, TRIO and TRIO Pro come in a sleek, geometric design that adds visual interest and personality to each additional screen.
One of the biggest suggestions for improvement was the size and weight of DUEX. TRIO and TRIO Pro are more compact and lighter than ever, without sacrificing utility. TRIO is 12.5" and 1.5 pounds, and is ideal for 13-14" laptops. For bigger devices, TRIO Pro is slightly larger at 14" and weighs about 1.8 pounds. Both models are also energy efficient using less than 4.5W of power. Both TRIO and TRIO Pro features a 1080p high-resolution display with adjustable brightness, so everything appears crystal clear.
