The new models bring the convenience of USB mobile device charging to the most popular four- and six-outlet configurations of the Isobar, the gold standard for surge protection.
The new IBAR4ULTRAUSBB and IBAR6ULTRAUSBB surge protectors have widely spaced NEMA 5-15R outlets with the same robust surge-blocking architecture as other Isobar models to deliver reliable protection against AC voltage surges and spikes. If the protection circuit is incapacitated, an automatic shutoff feature permanently cuts power to the outlets to protect connected devices. Isobar models also have isolated filter banks to provide noise filtering between devices connected to the same surge protector.
Two USB‑A charging ports share 3.1A for charging smartphones, tablets and other USB mobile devices. The USB ports eliminate the need for an AC adapter for charging cords, leaving more outlets available for plugging in AC equipment.
