Tropicfeel, a company that focuses on using upcycled materials, natural fabrics and compostable packaging, today launched Shell, its new travel and commuter backpack and wardrobe system on Kickstarter.

The Shell backpack and wardrobe system features a minimalist 3-in-1 adaptable design that seamlessly transitions to suit the commuter, weekender, and traveler by transforming into three different sizes: compressed 22L, normal 30L and expanded 40L21L.

Combining the organization, carry on size, and space optimization of suitcases with the ergonomics and portability of hiking backpacks, it’s a backpack for a lifetime designed to meet modern-day travelers’ needs.

Available in the three different colors, Shell offers maximum versatility and space optimization while also using pre and post consumer waste to make each bag. Tropicfeel’s products focus on using upcycled materials, natural fabrics and compostable packaging, as the brand aims to challenge the unsustainable way the traditional fashion industry operates.

Designed for everywhere and everywhen, Tropicfeel burst onto the scene in 2017 with the aim of creating the ultimate go-anywhere shoe for travelers: lightweight, stylish and sustainable. The first shoe - Monsoon - launched through crowdfunding in 2018 and quickly became the most-funded shoe in Kickstarter history.

Shell daily-use features include: compressible, laptop pocket, mesh pockets for stationery and a fully accessible top opening.

For longer trips, the wardrobe system features three different compartments for organization, while helps you pack a 20% more, reinventing the packing cube compressible mechanism:

  • Two closed compartments for small accessories and garments
  • One big compartment to place trousers, shirts, jumpers, long dresses or overalls
  • One compartment with shelves to keep t-shirts organized and instantly accessible

Additional accessories for The Shell will also be available for purchase that include: a camera cube to protect camera equipment, pocket pouch for quick easy access to items and a toiletry bag.
