TRS Group, Inc. (TRS) is pleased to announce that Gorm Heron, Ph.D. has joined TRS as its Chief Technology Officer. Dr. Heron is a recognized in situ thermal remediation (ISTR) expert and brings a wealth of experience to TRS.
From 1995 to 1998 Dr. Heron conducted ISTR research at the US EPA laboratory in Ada, Oklahoma, and at the University of California at Berkeley. From 1999 to 2018 Dr. Heron worked in industry designing and implementing steam enhanced extraction (SEE), electrical resistance heating (ERH) and thermal conduction heating (TCH) systems. Further, Dr. Heron has served as an expert advisor and witness for Federal and private organizations.
As TRS Chief Technology Officer, Dr. Heron will focus on technology selection, development, and optimization. Additionally, he will support domestic and international business development, adding TCH and SEE capabilities to the TRS global team.
