With an expanding client base, Trust Relations' new Chief Client Officer will spearhead client relations and agency operations

The fast-growing, virtual branding and strategic communications agency, Trust Relations, today announced the hiring of experienced PR professional Lana Dao as the team’s newly created position of Chief Client Officer. With her extensive background in public and client relations, Lana will oversee all client operations and team efficiencies for Trust Relations.

Trust Relations is a force to be reckoned with since opening its virtual doors two years ago. Founded by former journalists with over 300 years of combined experience in public relations, Trust Relations offers an innovative alternative to the traditional agency model. It’s unique, entirely-virtual team structure has allowed the team to flourish throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

“This year has certainly kept everyone on their toes,” said April White, president and founder of Trust Relations. “Luckily, our business model was founded on the premise of flexible remote work, allowing us to stay ahead of the curve as many others grapple with ways to keep everyone feeling connected in this new, virtual normal. I’m proud to say our client base and the team has grown more than 50 percent since the start of the pandemic. This rapid growth has allowed us to prioritize client relations and operations with the creation of our new Chief Client Officer position. I’m absolutely thrilled to have Lana join our dream team as a trusted liaison across all client accounts, and I know she will be an invaluable asset.”

As the new Chief Client Officer, Dao will be working alongside White to ensure client satisfaction and client relations are continuously maximized to the best of their abilities--all while also optimizing operational efficiencies and maintaining excellent internal and external communication among team members and clients.

Prior to joining Trust Relations, Dao managed the six Revlon Portfolio Brands as a Senior Account Executive at SEEN Group. There she implemented internal agency-wide policies and procedures for account and budget management, new team member onboarding, intern programs, and many more systems that are still being used today. Her client-centric operations approach aims to create transformational change, drive loyalty and improve the overall client experience.

“I am thrilled to be joining the culture at Trust Relations, which has quickly gained a reputation among PR practitioners nationwide as an exceptional place to work with a fantastically fun and talented group of people,” Dao said. “It’s exciting to be joining an agency that’s growing so quickly and shows so much promise--and to play a key role in setting the firm up for continued success as we develop additional processes to prepare Trust Relations to scale.”

Dao received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications, with an emphasis in Public Relations from the University of San Diego.
