PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 12, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Trustate (http://www.mytrustate.com), the estate settlement company started by DLA Piper Alumni, Leah Del Percio, announced today that former Rent the Runway rainmaker and senior advisor to the firm has joined the company as a co-founder and Chief Operating Officer. Ms. Faquir will oversee Trustate's overall business strategy and manage distribution with an emphasis on expanding the firm's institutional partnerships.
Trustate has been making waves in the industry by easing the time, cost, and emotional burden executors are faced with when closing an estate. On average, Trustate has reduced the time it takes to settle an estate by up to 250 hours and saves a typical estate thousands of dollars in fees. Their success focuses on decoupling the administrative tasks required to settle an estate from those tasks that are legal in nature, and then uses technology to automate the administrative functions.
"Trustate's business is solely focused on helping those in crisis and is based on a model that is fundamentally changing how estate executors handle the hundreds of tedious, time consuming, and stressful tasks that must be completed after someone passes away. By automating the administrative functions, Trustate can more efficiently, affordably, and with a higher degree of accuracy, help executors move on from their loss. In many cases, we can eliminate the need for expensive lawyers and in cases that do require legal counsel, we can ensure that our clients are only paying legal fees for actual legal work, saving them thousands of dollars in the process." Faquir said.
The addition of Ms. Faquir marks the third senior level addition to the Trustate team in as many weeks, signaling an acceleration in the company's growth.
Prior to joining Trustate, Ms. Faquir held several high-profile roles, most recently as National Head of Sales Strategy for a company that provides innovative technology mapping services to banks, mortgage companies, and private lenders throughout the United States. In addition to currently serving on the Board and the Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey, Ms. Faquir had prior stints at Nordstrom and more recently Rent the Runway, where she led the firm's global initiative to streamline internal policies and procedures around retail management training and systems implementation. She also led various strategic initiatives to help improve the organizations logistic's and fulfillment strategy to better serve its 5 million+ customers, including the firm's high profile partnership with Uber.
Leah Del Percio, Trustate's founder, President and CEO said: "I am thrilled to welcome Tara to the Trustate team. I have had the pleasure of knowing Tara in both a professional and personal setting for over 15 years and have tremendous confidence in her ability to help catapult Trustate to the next level. We see enormous opportunity to disrupt an industry that for far too long has been incentivized and rewarded for being inefficient and unnecessarily burdensome. Tara's unique experience in creating and executing on highly complex, cross-functional initiatives, along with her ability to make deeply personal connections will be a huge value-add as Trustate continues to provide transparent and affordable solutions for people during times of crisis."
Ms. Faquir holds a degree in economics from University of Miami and an MBA from The Fox School of Business at Temple University.
