“The SS38MH-5AX is a Swiss-type lathe that exhibits all of the benefits of a turn/mill machine and boasts a CAPTO C4 automatic tool changer. The SS38MH-5AX’s back-working overlap with live tool capability allows for multiple tools in the cut, and shorter cycle times,” said Michael Mugno, President.
WINDSOR, Conn. (PRWEB) January 18, 2019
Tsugami/Rem Sales, the exclusive North American importer of Precision Tsugami machine tools, announced today that it will demonstrate the Tsugami SS38MH-5AX and the Tsugami B0205-III LaserSwiss at the MD&M West Expo in Anaheim, California February 5-7, 2019.
For the first time ever, Rem Sales will exhibit the Tsugami SS38MH-5AX at MD&M West this coming February. The Tsugami SS38MH-5AX is a 38 mm chucker-convertible, B-axis sliding headstock CNC lathe that performs full 5-axis machining. The Tsugami SS38MH-5AX features a 40 tool magazine, 10 tools on the back tool post, and an optional 2 tools on the deep-hole drill holder as well as linear glass scales on the X1-, Y1-, Z1- and X2-axis slides.
“The Tsugami/Rem Sales team is proud to show the SS38MH-5AX at MD&M West 2019 in Anaheim. The SS38MH-5AX is a Swiss-type lathe that exhibits all of the benefits of a turn/mill machine and boasts a CAPTO C4 automatic tool changer,” said Michael Mugno, President, Tsugami/Rem Sales. “The SS38MH-5AX’s back-working overlap with live tool capability allows for multiple tools in the cut, and shorter cycle times.”
Rem Sales will also demonstrate the new Tsugami B0205-III LaserSwiss – a compact, 20 mm, 5-axis Swiss-turn with a fully integrated laser cutting system. This machine combines Swiss style machining with laser cutting on one machine, allowing manufacturers to perform Swiss turning and laser cutting operations with a single setup. All operations are programmed and driven from the machine’s FANUC 0iTF control. This machine features 10 tool positions in addition to the laser, and is convertible, meaning it can be run as a traditional Swiss style lathe using a guide bushing or operated with an optional chucker kit.
“The small footprint of the Tsugami B0205 LaserSwiss perfectly complements our catalogue of products,” Tsugami Rem Sales’ Business Development Director, Dan Walker said. “It is the most economical LaserSwiss model on the market and offers a great deal of flexibility and value for medical manufacturers.”
To see live cutting demos of these machines at MD&M West, visit the Tsugami/Rem Sales booth, #3296. The show runs February 5-7, at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA.
Manufacturers unable to attend the show are invited to schedule private machine tool demonstrations at the Tsugami Technical Center in Fullerton, CA, or at Tsugami/Rem Sales’ distribution partner Ellison Technologies’ California facilities in Santa Fe Springs and Fremont.
