(PRWEB) April 16, 2015 -- Choices Recovery, an open-ended, holistic, results-based substance abuse treatment center, was honored to sponsor Durkin Entertainment’s EcoLuxe Lounge and the “Salute to the Oscars” celebration honoring the Oscar nominees for this year, held on February 21, 2015 in the Stardust Penthouse on the top floor of the luxurious Beverly Hilton Hotel.
Debbie Durkin of Durkin Entertainment, the leading producer of sustainable product placement in TV and film, was the organizer of these events, which saw a gathering of some of the world’s premier providers of ecologically friendly and socially conscious products and services.
“The EcoLuxe Lounge and ‘Salute to the Oscars’ celebration was a ton of fun,” commented Choices Recovery founder Per Wickstrom. “We were honored to have a chance to get new ideas and fresh perspectives on the problems of addiction that we face today. We were grateful to have the opportunity to share more about what we strive for at Choices Recovery, which is offering holistic options for the treatment of addiction.”
Travis Aaron Wade's View On Prescription Drugs:
Among the many entertainment industry professionals that made appearances at the “Salute to the Oscars” celebration was Travis Aaron Wade, star of TV’s “Supernatural” as well as many other roles. He joined reality TV star Gretchen Christine Rossi on the red carpet for an impromptu interview, which has been released on Choices Recovery’s YouTube Channel.
Wade spoke about some of the problems he has seen with prescription drugs in today’s society. “(Doctors) are saying ‘you need this to fall asleep, you need this for anxiety, you need this to pay attention’,” he told Rossi. “I think addiction starts with our idea that we can’t handle something on our own.”
Other attendees at the “Salute to the Oscars” celebration included Michael Lennox (Oscar Nominee - Boogaloo and Graham: Best Live Action Short Film), Kristen Renton (Sons of Anarchy), Slade Smiley (Real Housewives of Orange County), and Adina Porter (True Blood), among many others.
