America's Cup Coverage by TVNZ Begins Amid Team Protests
Auckland, New Zealand (PRWEB) July 08, 2013 -- TVNZ’s America’s Cup coverage starts today on TV ONE.
TVNZ has started its coverage of the first race in the Round Robin series of the 2013 America’s Cup. However due to Luna Rossa's protest, only one race took place.
If and when racing truly gets underway, fans of the America's Cup in New Zealand can watch online – with all of the races streamed in full at tvnz.co.nz/americas-cup - a fantastic one-stop-shop for the latest news and video on Team New Zealand and the America’s Cup.
During the ‘Breakfast’ show, the team will also cross to their ONE NEWS Yachting Correspondent, Martin Tasker, who will be live on the water in San Francisco.
Martin Tasker says this year’s series will be a special one to watch. “The allure of the America’s Cup has always been what you don’t know…you especially “don’t know” which boat is quickest until they actually line up,” he comments. "In the case of this 34th Cup in giant multi-hulls we probably don’t know more than ever. That’s what makes it so fascinating and keeps us watching.”
