Two Frederick County High School Students Receive $1500 Scholarships from Nymeo
Frederick, MD (PRWEB) June 14, 2016 -- Nymeo Federal Credit Union, the largest Frederick-based credit union, awarded two Frederick County Public School high school seniors with a Nymeo Believe & Achieve Scholarship, two academic scholarships open to all seniors in Frederick County.
Holly Yvonne Herald from Catoctin High School and Zoe Maliszewskyi from Middletown High School were this year’s recipients.
Holly and Zoe each received a $1,500 scholarship. A committee of judges based the winners on their essays with consideration given to their academic accomplishments and participation in both school and community activities.
“Like last year, Nymeo’s scholarship committee had a difficult time with their decisions since our applicants were all so talented,” said Vicki Johnston, President and CEO of Nymeo. “We congratulate this year’s winners and wish the best for all of the area’s high school graduates!”
Nymeo Federal Credit Union, supports many community efforts throughout Frederick, also sponsors an online financial literacy software, called Banzai, for Frederick County educators to use in classrooms free of cost. Nymeo membership is open to anyone who lives, works, worships, attends school, volunteers, or conducts regular business in Frederick County.
