Tyson Zahner, Attraction Marketing Specialist, Shows Gratitude For CASA Advocates This Thanksgiving
This Thanksgiving, Tyson Zahner (attraction marketing expert) shed public light on a valuable and little-known volunteer position, that of a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA). The entrepreneur explained the impact that CASA volunteers make in the lives of children currently in the foster care system and thanked them for their work.
JACKSON, Mo., Nov. 27, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Tyson Zahner, creator of Attract 100 Leads in 30 Days, recently highlighted the importance of CASA volunteers and thanked them for all that they do in light of both Thanksgiving and National Adoption Awareness Month. The entrepreneur is a committed advocate for adoption and a true supporter of children currently in the foster care system. Zahner is himself adopted, as is his own son. He has said, "I've been blessed to experience adoption in my life in a variety of ways. This gives me a unique insight into that lifestyle." Zahner recently urged those who might not be in a position to adopt a child, but still want to help children in the foster care system, to consider becoming a CASA—a Court Appointed Special Advocate. Zahner says, "These volunteers play a very special role on behalf of children in the foster care system. I am thankful for all that they do to help kids have a better life."
What is a Court Appointed Special Advocate? Once screened, a CASA volunteer is assigned by a judge to a specific child or a sibling group. These children have often experienced difficult circumstances as a result of foster placement. Zahner writes, "Imagine being uprooted from a familiar place and put in a place that is completely unfamiliar. Sometimes children are uprooted multiple times." The CASA volunteer works closely with their assigned child, becoming a mentor figure and an observer of the child's needs. Zahner says of the relationship between volunteer and child, "They develop individual bonds. Volunteers get to know the close contacts in the lives of their appointed child—like foster family, biological family, teachers, and counsellors. They also come to know the emotional and physical needs of the child as they continue to strengthen the relationship they share."
As Zahner explains, the volunteer is able to use his/her close knowledge of the child to advocate on behalf of that child to a judge. Such close knowledge can help judges make informed decisions that better the life of the child and reduce the risk of negative outcomes. Zahner summed up the importance of CASA volunteering by saying, "Imagine a child who might otherwise feel alone knowing that they have someone in their corner, someone who truly cares. In turn, the CASA volunteer knows that they possess the close personal knowledge to advocate on behalf of their child. They know that they are making a true and lasting difference. The bond is a real one."
The inspiration for Zahner's post is his observance of both Thanksgiving and National Adoption Awareness Month (November). Zahner considers National Adoption Awareness Month "a particularly special time for me and my family." The attraction marketing and automation specialist, well known for his programs helping entrepreneurs generate better traffic, sales, and leads, also runs the website https://www.tysonzahner.co/ The site offers information for people interested in adoption or fostering, and for those who want to lend a hand but might not currently be in a position to directly adopt or foster.
