USCI is making adult secondary education even easier through general and career-driven pathways to academic and professional success.
FORT COLLINS, Colo., July 26, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- U.S. Career Institute has launched a new online high school program aimed at meeting the needs of adult learners who left school without earning their diploma.
USCI High School offers open enrollment, allowing students to sign up any time and begin their studies. Program options include a general diploma program and career pathway programs.
"Online education has become mainstream in the last several years, in part due to the pandemic but also because as our technology-based society has evolved, so has our understanding of the growing needs of learners and our workforce," said Megan Bowen, USCI High School Director. "It has the capacity to meet the needs of adult learners who may be working and supporting a family as well as traditional-aged learners."
Research has shown that having a high school diploma opens up more career opportunities and the potential for higher earnings. However, the responsibilities of adults make it hard to go back to high school without the flexibility of online learning.
"Adult learners have different needs," said Janet Perry, U.S. Career Institute Vice President of Academics. "Many have other responsibilities, such as children or jobs. One of the great things about USCI High School is that it fits an adult learner's needs. Adults can study during the time of day that works best for them."
All USCI High School programs include tuition and course materials at one affordable price. Payment plans are also available to make these diploma programs more accessible.
"USCI has over 40 years of experience in serving distance learners. Because of this experience, we understand the special needs of distance learners and develop programs that meet these special needs," Perry said.
USCI High School offers two different online programs: a general diploma program and a career pathway program, the latter of which focuses on the development of job knowledge and career exploration. Popular career pathways include health care, veterinary, business, fitness and paralegal.
