JACKSONVILLE, Texas, Sept. 6, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- U.S. Dermatology Partners is pleased to expand the company's East Texas region with the opening of their Jacksonville location, caring for patients in Cherokee County. U.S. Dermatology Partner has been serving the East Texas community for over 20 years with locations in Tyler, Lindale, Athens, Longview, Marshall, Nacogdoches, Palestine, Greenville, and Winnsboro. Prior to the opening of the new clinic, patients traveled to Palestine or Tyler for care.
The clinic is staffed by seasoned physician assistant Toby Cason, PA-C and is open Monday and Wednesday each week. Cason earned a Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University of Commerce and a Master of Science from the University of Texas at Tyler. He went on to earn a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and a Master of Physician Assistant Studies with a specialty in orthopedic surgery from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. He recently earned a Doctor of Medical Science degree from the University of Lynchburg in Lynchburg, VA. Cason has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including rheumatology, orthopedics and urgent care. "I initially developed an interest in dermatologic conditions while working in rheumatology, given the many overlapping diseases and treatments," Cason says. "My interest grew as I diagnosed and treated a variety of dermatologic conditions while deployed with the U.S. Army in 2016 and 2017."
He is particularly interested in treating autoimmune diseases, psoriasis, lupus, and skin cancer. "I enjoy the ability to see a wide variety of patients of all ages with varied skin ailments while building relationships with them and providing continuity of care," Cason says. "You can truly change lives, whether it is changing a patient's appearance, controlling debilitating diseases, or even saving a life with a skin cancer diagnosis."
Cason's wife, Karlie, is also a physician assistant with U.S. Dermatology Partners. They enjoy time with their daughter, Emmie, and their two dogs. The clinic is conveniently located in the Christus Mother Francis Specialty Clinic.
The location is dedicated to the treatment of general dermatology conditions such as acne, dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, and skin cancer, as well as other common issues that involve the skin, hair, and nails. To schedule an appointment, call 903-534-6200.
