In a highly anticipated Advertising Week NY panel about the critical role brands can play to help combat the opioid crisis, celebrity influencers, government agency and global business leaders will arm Advertising Week NY attendees with creative assets and tools to help fight the stigma associated with this epidemic in their communities.
Rooted in the National Opioid Action Coalition (NOAC)'s recently launched #TalkToMe public awareness campaign, the panel discussion will explore the role of stigma as a barrier to treatment and lasting recovery, and successful government and community initiatives working to tackle the opioid epidemic. New data about Americans' comfort in talking about opioid misuse will also be shared. The panel will include an exclusive premiere of the song "Talk To Me" which was written by Mötley Crüe Founding Member and Global Recovery Initiative Foundation Board Member, Nikki Sixx, with his band Sixx:A.M.
