U.S. Navy Memorial to Host Remembrance Ceremony for the 80th Anniversary of Pearl Harbor
The U.S. Navy Memorial's Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day Wreath Laying Ceremony is held each year to remember and honor the service members and civilians who lost their lives during Japan's surprise ambush on Pearl Harbor. This year marks 80 years since the attack and the fateful day that over 2,400 Americans perished.
WASHINGTON, Dec. 6, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The son of a Pearl Harbor veteran, Bob Clark, will deliver special remarks at the United States Navy Memorial in honor of his father and those who fell on December 7th, 1941. Clark's father was a gunner's mate whose crew took down a Japanese plane during the attack while serving aboard the light cruiser USS Honolulu.

Tuesday, December 7th, 2021 at 1 p.m. Eastern Time
U.S. Navy Memorial Plaza

The ceremony will commence on U.S. Navy Memorial Plaza, located between the White House and Capitol Building, and is free and open to the public. You can also register to watch online at http://www.NavyMemorial.org. It will be a powerful tribute to our nation's history featuring Navy customs and traditions, emotional storytelling, and a moment of pause for those who were lost.
Additionally, the U.S. Navy Band and Ceremonial Guard will deliver live performances on the plaza, including "Ruffles and Flourishes" and "The Flag Officer's March."
The U.S. Navy Memorial encourages D.C. residents and visitors of all ages to attend. The ceremony will conclude at approximately 2 p.m.
