WASHINGTON, Oct. 25, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The National Infrastructure Investment Alliance launched the first U.S. Opportunity Zone Expo in Washington, DC on Wednesday October 17, 2018. The expo took place at the Arbor Ballroom & Convention Center and drew more than one hundred and seventy five (175) attendees from the private sector, municipal and state legislative groups, U.S. federal government officials and various civic society leaders.
The full day forum was divided into two working sessions, a morning forum of panelists headlined by the National Governors Association and the U.S. Conference of Mayors. The afternoon session featured private sector investors representing MorganStanley; BlackRock; The International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds; Enterprise Community Partners and the expo's title sponsor, VirtuaPartners.
Former (2012) U.S. Presidential candidate and corporate CEO Herman Cain provided the keynote address during the luncheon and Tom McDevitt, Chairman of the Washington Times gave opening remarks to greet the attendees during the expo morning session.
