NEW YORK, Aug. 20, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Inc. magazine revealed UI Global Brands ranked within the top 15% of its annual Inc. 5000 list, the most prestigious ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. The 2021 Inc. 5000 list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the American economy's most dynamic segment — its independent small businesses.
Founded in 2009 by Psyche Terry, UI Global Brands is the parent company of Urban Hydration, a beauty brand of naturally inspired, fruit-extract and plant-based skin, hair, and body care formulas. Starting as a small online store, Urban Hydration products are now sold in more than 30,000 retail doors across the nation including Target, Ulta, Walgreens, CVS, Dollar General, Family Dollar, Bed Bath & Beyond, and H-E-B. Driven by their dedication to community and giving back, in 2016 Urban Hydration committed to providing clean drinking water for communities in need through a keystone partnership with WATERisLIFE. With each purchase of an Urban Hydration product, one gallon of water is donated to a community that is lacking access to clean drinking water.
"We are thrilled to be recognized by Inc. Magazine for a third consecutive year," said Psyche Terry, CEO and Founder of UI Global Brands. "UI Global's continued growth is a testament to our vision, hard work, and the dedication of our UI Global family. While we continue to focus on expanded distribution, increased sales and building out our team, we will always stay committed to our philanthropic endeavors and educational initiatives across a multitude of deserving organizations."
Not only were the companies on the 2021 Inc. 5000 very competitive within their markets, this year's list proved especially resilient and flexible given 2020's unprecedented challenges. Among the 5,000 companies, the average median three-year growth rate soared to 543 percent, and median revenue reached $11.1 million. Together, those companies added more than 610,000 jobs over the past three years.
"The 2021 Inc. 5000 list feels like one of the most important rosters of companies ever compiled," says Scott Omelianuk, editor-in-chief of Inc. "Building one of the fastest-growing companies in America in any year is a remarkable achievement. Building one in the crisis we've lived through is just plain amazing. This kind of accomplishment comes with hard work, smart pivots, great leadership, and the help of a whole lot of people."
