The popular sports and pop culture site FanSided has just released its Fandom 250 list and there are some surprising results. The Cleveland Browns may be known in the record books for a winless NFL season, but this team's fans have taken first place on this list. And you know those Serena Williams fans are top notch if they can edge out Fortnite and Game of Thrones loyalists.

You'll find that Taylor Swift "Swifties'" love for the country-pop artist earns a total ranking of 53/250, while the cult-like following of Pokémon has earned their fan-badge at 43/250. And where do those Kardashian enthusiasts fall on the list? That well-groomed and manicured family has a fan base ranked at 69/250. But when compared to only other celebrities, fans of the Kardashians come in at #4.
So how does FanSided actually come up with this list? It was created by looking at different classifications which include Legacy (longevity and loyalty), Fanmanship (going above and beyond for the community), Passion (how far you go for fandom), Buzz (social channels and mainstream media), and Magnitude (how big is the fan base). Categories are studied and assigned points all year by committees and then crunched together to form a final score, even up to the decimal point.
"The FanSided editing team works on it all year long. There are monthly meetings, debates and votes," said Patrick Allen, FanSided VP of Content. "Your fandom may not be on this list or it may not be ranked as highly as you think it should, but that doesn't make it any less worthy of your support and affection. Fandom is fun and it is personal."
