TAMPA, Fla., May 20, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Ultimate Medical Academy, a nonprofit healthcare educational institution, on Thursday announced a partnership with Feeding Tampa Bay (FTB), which focuses on assisting food insecure families in West Central Florida.
"Feeding Tampa Bay has two key focuses in the work we do - creating health and capability in the 600,000 individuals we serve across our 10-county region," said FTB President & CEO Thomas Mantz. "Ultimate Medical Academy is a strategic partner that can help us achieve these goals and create long-term solutions in the lives of those we serve."
UMA leaders met at the FTB warehouse and presented a check for $10,000. This donation is enough to provide 100,000 meals for people who are food insecure in the Tampa Bay area. UMA leaders also participated in a food sorting volunteer shift of 12,211 pounds of food that equates to 10,176 more meals.
