Judges will confer a Bronze Stevie award upon UltraShipTMS for its Spot Quote Solution which automates the process of soliciting competitive bids from freight carriers to move truckload shipments that were not accepted by a shipper's regularly contracted carrier.
Judges were clearly impressed with the business case data provided in the UltraShip nomination illustrating how three shippers using the spot quote automation solution to tap the spot market successfully saved nearly $30,000 over a study period of two short weeks – a nearly 6% savings over expedited freight costs booked without the competitive bidding automation.
