Ennio R. Neumann Senese has been named MD for Europe, with responsibility for the company's EMEA business. He will join the UMS Group Board and assume responsibility for the EMEA region and overall growth strategy for the firm. He brings 30+ years of senior executive Energy Sector Line Management and Consultancy experience, including executive leadership positions with Shell Oil, Accenture, ILF Group, and Private Equity, as well as more than 14 years at two big-five Consulting companies. He is a strong leader and facilitator who hits the ground running, knowing how to bring out the best in people. His specific areas of expertise include Strategy, Procurement, M&A, and Performance Improvement. Ed De Vroedt has been appointed European Operations and Finance Director, and MD for Benelux effective immediately, with responsibility for UMS Group's Benelux clients and our European based learning consortia programs. De Vroedt, a 13-year veteran of UMS Group Europe, is a leader in serving our clients in the electric utility, gas and water sectors. His roles have included driving asset management transformations across client organizations, strategic investment optimization, and more recently deployment of digitalization strategies. Prior to this current role, he served as Acting MD for UMS Group Australia in 2014-16 and was a key player in our expansion of Asset Management services into the Asia Pacific market.
Diego Klappenbach, who has served as Hub Leader in Scandinavia since 2015 will take on the title of MD Scandinavia. Klappenbach joined UMS Group as the first employee serving the Scandinavian market. He brought with him many years of experience in the Vattenfall Group. He joined UMS to spearhead the group's presence in the Scandinavian market. Over the years he has earned recognition as a thought leader in developing asset strategies and implementation of asset management systems. Serving many different industries, including: Electric T&D, power generation, hydropower, nuclear and transportation, he has built broad recognition for the brand in the Scandinavian market.
