Unaffiliated U.S. Senate Candidate Neal Simon Launches First TV Ad: 30-second Spot Highlights “People Over Politics” Theme
ROCKVILLE, Md. (PRWEB) July 31, 2018 -- Neal Simon, an unaffiliated candidate for Maryland’s U.S. Senate seat, today is launching his campaign’s first television advertisement. The 30-second ad – titled “Together” – will begin airing today.
The ad introduces Simon to Maryland voters and outlines the reasons why he thinks he should represent Marylanders in the U.S. Senate. It creates a stark contrast between Simon and the career politician he is challenging in November.
The text of the ad is as follows:
“I’m Neal Simon. I’m the son of an immigrant and a family man. And now I’m running for the U.S. Senate unaffiliated with any party because they are playing partisan games and getting nothing done, and it’s crippling America. I’ve created high-paying jobs right here in Maryland by listening, bringing people together and finding common ground, and I’ll do the same thing as your Senator. They say an outsider can’t do it but together we’ll prove them wrong. I’m Neal Simon and I approved this message. Let’s finally put people over politics.”
Simon released the following statement:
“I'm excited about the growing momentum of my campaign and this television ad is the next step in introducing an alternative to the partisan bickering that has crippled our country. As I have met thousands of Marylanders across our state, voters are hungry for a change. What I see and feel out there is that there will be a wave election this year, but it's not a blue wave or a red wave – it is an overwhelming majority of voters who want fresh leadership focused on uniting us, not dividing us.”
The TV ad is the next milestone for a campaign that is building momentum every single day. Two weeks ago, the Simon campaign submitted over 12,000 signatures to be on the November 2018 ballot and has outraised long-time incumbent Sen. Ben Cardin among individual donors this year. In May, Simon completed a “Listening Tour” of all 23 Maryland counties plus the City of Baltimore. Throughout the summer Simon has traveled the state in his campaign RV, meeting and listening to voters in their communities.
Simon has been nationally endorsed by Unite America, a moderate, centrist group with members that include sitting independent governor Bill Walker of Alaska, and has received support from No Labels, a bipartisan political organization whose mission is to combat partisan dysfunction in politics and usher in a new era of focused problem solving in American politics.
