Course creators, agencies, and training teams build rich learning content in tools like Articulate Storyline and Rise, Adobe Captivate, iSpring, and Lectora, then export it as SCORM or xAPI packages. Until now, WordPress sites running an LMS other than LearnDash (or no LMS at all) have had limited options for hosting that content with real tracking: typically a hosted SCORM service that keeps learner data on its own platform and bills per user, or an external learning record store subscription alongside a separate player.
Tin Canny xAPI/SCORM for WordPress handles delivery and tracking in one plugin, on the customer's own site. Uploaded modules play on any WordPress page or post, learners resume where they left off, and every completion, score, and xAPI statement is recorded in the site's own database by a built-in learning record store — no external LRS required. Activity in SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 packages are recorded as standards-compliant xAPI statements and appear as native xAPI records in the plugin's filterable, CSV-exportable reports.

Through Uncanny Automator, module results integrate with the LMS a site already runs. When a module reports an xAPI verb such as "passed" or "completed," or a score, Automator can mark a lesson, topic, quiz, or course complete, enroll the learner in a course, add them to a group, and more. For example, a low score can route a learner into a remedial course; a strong pre-assessment result can mark introductory lessons complete. Uncanny Automator already supports LifterLMS, Tutor LMS, MemberPress Courses, LearnPress, MasterStudy, and more. The actions available for each LMS are published on Automator's per-platform integration pages.
"For a lot of organizations, the real requirement isn't delivering the course, it's proving it was completed," said Young. "Knowing that a video played isn't enough. They want a completion record with a timestamp and a score. That's what Tin Canny produces, and the data lives in the organization's own WordPress database, not on a platform they're renting."
Uploaded content is protected by server-level rules for Apache and NGINX plus per-request access control, and works alongside the membership and access-control plugins a site already uses. The plugin also tracks H5P content.
For LearnDash users, Tin Canny Reporting for LearnDash continues unchanged. Tin Canny xAPI/SCORM for WordPress is for sites running other WordPress LMS plugins, or for users that don't want an LMS at all and simply want to be able to upload, deliver and track xAPI or SCORM activity without the complexity of an external LRS.
