UNITS Moving and Portable Storage Celebrates Fall Grand Opening by Helping Local Veterans Prepare for Winter
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (PRWEB) October 17, 2018 -- UNITS® Moving and Portable Storage of Nashville celebrated their grand opening September 20–23 with a successful clothing drive to “Fill a Unit” for local veterans in need of warm clothing this winter.
Partnering with Operation Stand Down Tennessee, an organization dedicated to helping veterans transition to civilian life, UNITS Moving and Portable Storage of Nashville collected dozens of pieces of winter clothing at both their new location (5207 Linbar Drive, #702, Antioch, Tennessee) on September 20 and at the Nashville Home Show September 21–23.
“The grand opening and clothing drive was a great success. The outpouring of support was wonderful to experience, and we continue to accept donations in support of our veterans and Operation Stand Down,” UNITS Moving and Portable Storage of Nashville co-owner Rick Thomson.
Grand opening festivities at UNITS Moving and Portable Storage of Nashville’s new, 20,000 square-foot warehouse included a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Nashville Chamber of Commerce, a complimentary cocktail hour and a demonstration of the company’s Robo-Unit, a proprietary delivery system which can place containers in the tightest of spaces.
Thomson’s wife, and co-owner, Jill, was thrilled to see so many people turn out to welcome them to Nashville and help support the veteran community.
“Nashville is such an amazing place to be a small-business owner because of the terrific community support for its people and establishments. We’re very excited to service this market” she said.
With almost 100 people (and their stuff!) moving into the Nashville area every day, UNITS Moving and Portable Storage is ready to offer hyper-local service, high-quality storage containers and competitive pricing. More than 80 weather-resistant 16-foot containers featuring barn-style doors and all-steel construction can be stored on site or delivered to any location for easy, ground-level loading.
