Prior to the current public health crisis, the majority of patients reported being unhappy with their healthcare experiences. While many health systems and other healthcare organizations historically relied on the telephone or patient portals to communicate with patients, studies show almost 50% were not using portals to access their medical records. Considering this, as we move toward a post-COVID world, the practice of healthcare must be reinvented in order to increase patient satisfaction and engagement.
