TALLAHASSEE, Fla., Dec. 8, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Florida Park Service has awarded a six-year contract with one option for renewal to implement and operate its park business system to US eDirect, the industry's leading provider of recreation management systems. In anticipation of a Spring 2021 launch, US eDirect and the Florida Park Service have already started to collaborate on the new system.
"It is incredibly humbling to have the opportunity to serve the iconic Florida state park system and its patrons," said Tony Alex, company President and CEO.
"We appreciate the hard work done by all our customers and their dedicated rangers every day to make parks available for people to enjoy, and it is our extreme privilege to help in a small way," echoed Bill Bryan, company Vice President and former state park system director from Missouri.
Known for its ease of use and modern innovations, the new system, Recreation Dynamics, will help reduce wait times at popular parks by allowing visitors to buy their passes in advance using their smartphone or PC, ensure faster transactions in the park with proven and advanced technology, and simply help them better discover The Real FloridaSM at home, on the road or in the park.
"The new park business system will be one of the best point-of-sale and camping reservation systems in the nation, and it will help ensure that we continue to be America's best state parks," Florida Park Service Director Eric Draper said. "We look forward to our new relationship with US eDirect and thank all of our vendors for doing business with Florida State Parks. Additionally, I'd like to extend my appreciation to DEP staff for their hard work and commitment to serving park visitors by making reservations and fee payments easy and efficient."
"The brand is the Sunshine State, not the reservation platform," Bryan said. "Campers will keep flocking to the Florida Park Service's epic destinations, and it will be easier and more convenient than ever before for them to book their trip next year with Recreation Dynamics."
