SAN RAFAEL, Calif., April 13, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- This volleyball program will be held at Loyola University New Orleans in Louisiana, and will be directed by Jesse Zabal, Head Volleyball Coach for the Wolf Pack.
The Wolf Pack finished their 2018 season with multiple achievements. Zabal guided her team to the quarterfinals of the SSAC Championship (Southern States Athletic Conference), helped the team rank as the No. 3 NAIA volleyball program in the country by NCSA (Next College Student Athlete), two players were named to All-Conference Teams, and 5 players were named to All-Academic team.
This summer at the Loyola volleyball camp, Zabal and the Wolf Pack will use their high energy and motivation to help young athletes develop the skills on and off the court.
"We are very excited to host our individual skills camp this summer," exclaimed Zabal, when asked about the new camp. "We are looking forward to working with dedicated and excited athletes, while also helping them grow in the game! Athletes can expect to learn and develop their skill within each of the tools needed to be a strong volleyball player."
Camp will take place in the University Sports Complex, also known as The Den, on the same volleyball courts the Wolf Pack competes and trains on. Under the guidance of Zabal and her staff, campers will receive many reps each day, positional work geared towards specific ability levels, and live game situations. Zabal welcomes all players from the New Orleans area to learn volleyball in a fun and competitive environment.
Players attending the Loyola University New Orleans Volleyball Camp can choose to attend as an overnight or extended day camper. For three days, players in both programs will receive 6-7 hours of daily volleyball instruction as well as eat meals in the campus dining hall. The overnight campers will stay in the on-campus dorms with a roommate who is their same age.
