SAN RAFAEL, Calif., Feb. 17, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Nike Volleyball Camp in Fort Smith will be held at the Fort Smith Juniors Volleyball Complex, a 22,000 square foot facility that contains 4 courts. Long time Nike Volleyball Camp director Kimberly Weaver is set to direct this new volleyball camp.
Weaver has been lending her extensive volleyball knowledge since 2014 after directing camp at Texas Wesleyan University for 4 years and then moving on to direct the Nike Volleyball Camp in Fort Worth, Texas. Weaver is currently the Assistant Volleyball Coach at The University of Arkansas-Fort Smith and will be bringing along the rest of the UAFS volleyball staff to the new camp in Fort Smith. This means that players from the Sebastian County area have a chance to work with a collegiate level coaching staff.
"Have a new volleyball camp in Arkansas was very important to us," says Siera Love, National Manager of Nike Volleyball Camps. "We are always looking for ways to expand our camps, and Kimberly was eager to add one in her area. We can't wait to help girls improve their skills and have fun!"
The new camp will be offered as an All Skills program, meaning that girls at all ability levels are welcome to join. Under the UAFS instruction, players will be able to improve their mechanics and fundamentals through a combination of position-specific drills and live-game play. On the last day of the camp, players will have a tournament with their fellow athletes and be able to compete.
This new camp is held from July 13-16, and will run 9:00am-3:00pm every day.
