FORT WASHINGTON, Pa. (PRWEB) November 26, 2018
US HealthConnect Inc. (USH) today announced the acquisition of Medtelligence LLC, one of the nation’s leading providers of medical education focusing on cardiovascular disease. Medtelligence is the newest member of the USH group of companies, becoming the eighth wholly owned subsidiary. Each USH subsidiary is responsible for developing, delivering, and/or measuring the impact of clinical education on healthcare professionals.
Medtelligence President & CEO Kathleen Wickman, BSN, retains leadership of her team under the USH corporate infrastructure. “This is a valuable, strategic move for Medtelligence,” said Wickman. “We have partnered with USH subsidiaries for years and have a long history of creating value in medical education. We look forward to continuing to provide new perspectives, educational creativity, and measurable outcomes in our industry.”
The Medtelligence acquisition comes on the heels of significant growth across USH’s medical education business units. “Our teams and our focus areas have expanded substantially,” said Rob Braun, President of the USH group of CME companies: Omnia Education, Prova Education, ACCME-accredited TOPEC, and AGILE. “Medtelligence allows us to keenly focus on cardiovascular disease education and its impact on patient outcomes.”
“Our teams of educational strategists could not be happier,” said Ben Caref, PhD, Chief Medical Officer of Medtelligence. “We have spent many years designing and delivering important education across cardiovascular conditions, producing outcomes that show improvements in patient care and patient outcomes. We are excited to continue these efforts under the USH banner of companies.”
Frank Russomano, President & CEO of USH, noted that 2019 marks the 20th anniversary of USH and that the continuing strategic growth plan has resulted in significant value for the companies. “We wholeheartedly welcome Kathy and her team to the USH family of companies,” said Russomano. “We’ve gotten to know the entire Medtelligence team through a variety of projects over the years, and we know their commitment to excellence.
