US Sports Camps' Announces Kara Mupo Added to Stanford Womens Lacrosse Staff
SAN RAFAEL, Calif. (PRWEB) November 29, 2018 -- A two-time national champion at Northwestern and assistant coach for the No. 1 team in the nation last season, Kara Mupo, will join the Stanford women's lacrosse coaching staff as the offensive coordinator in 2018, as announced by head coach Amy Bokker.

Mupo spent two years as an assistant at William & Mary and also served as an assistant at Stony Brook where she helped the SeaWolves to a 20-win season and a No. 1 national ranking in 2018. Under Mupo, she Stony Brook offense led the country in points per game (29.28), scoring margin (+10.80), assists per game (11.23) and shot percentage (.547) last season.
Mupo will be working both the Stanford Winter Lacrosse Camp December 14-16, 2018 as well as the Stanford Summer Lacrosse Camp in 2019. Designed for rising 7-12 graders, the comprehensive three day winter camp focuses on individualized instructions and game-like play for field players and goalies.
A native of Rocky Point, N.Y., and a graduate of Rocky Point High School, Mupo spent her collegiate career at Northwestern in which she helped the Wildcats capture a pair of NCAA national championships and guided the team to four consecutive Final Four appearances. Mupo served as a team captain at Northwestern during her senior season and finished her collegiate career with 186 points (136g, 50a).
A former member of the U.S. Women's National Team, Mupo plays professionally in the Women's Professional Lacrosse League (WPLL) for the New England Command, who kicked off their inaugural season this summer. In 2016, she was a member of the Philadelphia Force and earned all-star status after she lead the league in goals.

Mupo earned a bachelor of science degree in human development and psychological services from Northwestern in 2014, and received a master's degree in sports administration at Northwestern in 2015.
Mupo will take over an offense that led the Pac-12 in goals, assists, points, shots and draw controls. The Cardinal finished the 2018 season with the second-most wins (15-5) in school history which included an 8-2 record in the inaugural Pac-12 regular season, and the first-ever Pac-12 Tournament title. The Cardinal capped the year with its seventh NCAA appearance in the last nine seasons.
