SAN RAFAEL, Calif., Dec. 12, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Lineman and Linebackers Clinic in New Hampshire offers exclusive concentration on Lineman/Linebacker positions instructed by skilled coaches who have achieved measures of greatness both as players and coaches. The NEFC hosts one session each summer, July 12-14, 2019, with over 200 total players attending.
Coach Pugh is one of the most successful football coaches in North Shore history. Currently third year head coach at Hamilton-Wenham High School, Pugh's culture of winning has been established since his arrival on campus. Pugh serves as Game Director for the Shriner's All-Star Football Classic, was 2013 MA High School Coaches Association President and is currently the Association's Treasurer. Formerly with Masconomet High School, Pugh's Masco's teams won 178 games and claimed seven Cape Ann League championships. He led the Chieftains to two Super Bowl appearances, enjoyed 19 winning seasons and had an overall winning percentage of .620.
"NEFC has a history that is unmatched. The coaches who have worked this outstanding clinic have taught thousands of football players the right way to prepare and compete in football," says Coach Pugh. "It is an honor to be involved with this year's outstanding staff. Looking forward to years serving at the helm of the lineman/linebacker clinic!"
The Offensive/Defensive Lineman and Linebacker Clinic is designed to give each student athlete an opportunity to receive concentrated work in the areas of skill and coordinated movement that will aid each person in developing the ability to perform at the peak of his potential, in the trenches, where all games are decided.
This teaching clinic is held on the campus of the New Hampton School in New Hampton, New Hampshire, where students are housed in the dorms and play on the outstanding facilities this school has to offer.
Offensive and defensive linemen and linebackers are extremely skilled athletes. Not only are these the most unsung positions on the field, but they also contribute the most to the success or failure of each game. Great demands are placed on these positions. Discipline, perseverance, repetition, and understanding the total concepts of offensive line techniques and defensive line reads are essential to be able to meet the great expectations.
Breakout sessions include topics on the importance of academic grades for college recruitment and scholarship opportunities, the 2019 NCAA Clearing House Rules and Regulations, viewing college training films, classroom lectures and chalk talks. The clinic also offers specific Quarterback/Receiver position training.
