USA Water Ski Foundation Launched
Haines City, FL (PRWEB) January 28, 2014 -- With the goal of developing an innovative and contemporary brand identity within the water sport industry, the American Water Ski Educational Foundation is re-branding itself with a new name, logo, mission and set of strategic objectives.
Formally launched Saturday night at the 2014 USA Water Ski Annual Awards Banquet, the foundation is now officially known as the USA Water Ski Foundation. With a complete re-brand and more contemporary logo, the foundation demonstrates it’s re-positioning for the future and new strategic vision.
The Foundation’s headquarters is home to the sport’s National Governing Body- USA Water Ski –which governs nine water ski and wake sport disciplines and is an official member of United States Olympic Committee. The Foundation also houses the Water Ski Museum and Hall of Fame, the International Water Ski & Wakeboard Hall of Fame and a championship ski lake. The building is located off of Florida’s I-4, halfway between Tampa and Orlando, and serves as an attraction in the central Florida area.
"The re-branding initiative will help us better articulate what we do and how we serve the towed water sport community and also be complementary to the national governing body,” said USA Water Ski Foundation Executive Director Tracy Mattes.
Along with the new logo and re-branding, the Foundation has a new four year strategic plan in place. The leadership of the foundation joined with industry leaders, elite athletes, and water ski & wake sport enthusiasts to create a new four year strategic plan for the Foundation. “We are confident that this set of strategic initiatives, which reflects thoughtful development and planning- synthesizes the most important aspirations of the USA Water Ski Foundation and provides a solid foundation to set goals, establish benchmarks, and express a clear vision and road map for our future” said USA Water Ski Foundation President Paul Chapin.
“We have entered into a new era of friendship and cooperation between the National Governing Body and the Foundation as we work more closely together to achieve our common goals. Stronger and more united we take steps forward into an exciting future,” says Mattes. “We believe our Foundation will serve as a wonderful vehicle to expand involvement in our sport and provide a means to attract and guide funds to new and innovative outreach and educational programs. As we continue honoring, preserving, fostering and sharing the living history of water skiing and all tow-able water sports through our museum and Hall of Fame, it seems fitting that this launch falls on the historic 75th Anniversary year of organized water skiing. This is a pivotal moment in our foundation’s history. What an exciting year this will be!”
