In this free webinar, learn about the experience of using point of care testing in general practice. Attendees will gain insights into the benefits for patients, general practitioners (GPs) and the Integrated Care System (ICS). The featured speakers will discuss contribution to sustainability and the National Health Service (NHS) Net Zero Carbon Footprint model.

With the National Health Service (NHS) committing to a target of becoming net zero by 2045³, the speakers will explore how the implementation of point of care testing within primary care can assist in reaching this goal.

Patients are experiencing difficulties accessing urgent care, creating a direct impact on GP’s and their ability to facilitate continuity of care to patients who need it. To add to this pressure, primary care teams are finding themselves increasingly stretched beyond capacity¹. Could point of care testing help transform patient care?

Featured speaker Dr. Mayur Lakhani, a practising GP Principal-Partner in Leicestershire and Former President of the Royal College of Practitioners, will discuss how implementing new models of care in general practice and PCNs (Primary Care Networks) using the LumiraDx Platform can assist in tackling the challenges faced within primary care, along with the benefits it could provide for patients and staff.

Dr. Lakhani will also examine the implementation of point of care testing in PCNs in the context of the Fuller Stocktake report¹, and how its adoption can assist in providing more integrated services in system, place and neighbourhood settings. With the introduction of PCNs, the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS) includes funding for 26,000 essential roles to support PCNs in delivering more personalised and integrated health and social care². The featured speakers will look at how the introduction of point of care testing could assist these roles in bringing change and improvements to patient care pathways. With the National Health Service (NHS) committing to a target of becoming net zero by 2045³, the speakers will explore how the implementation of point of care testing within primary care can assist in reaching this goal.

Join Dr. Mayur Lakhani CBE, GP Partner and ICB Board Member; and Lucy Lehane, Associate Director Medical Affairs, LumiraDx, for the live webinar on Friday, November 25, 2022, at 7am EST (11am GMT-UK/ 12pm CET/EU-Central).
