Usource and Optimal Energy Group Team up to Help Educate Maine Businesses

Maine businesses are paying some of the highest energy rates in the nation, due in large part to infrastructure constraints and a growing demand for power – and any relief is at least a few years out.
“Energy prices are becoming increasingly volatile in the New England market. Last winter’s extreme temperatures led to a dramatic spike in energy rates, leaving many companies facing hefty electric bills, and looking for relief. The combined expertise of Usource and Optimal Energy Group addresses two main areas of energy cost control; consumption and procurement. Cost mitigation measures are available for both, but not widely known.

Together Usource and Optimal Energy Group have already conducted an educational session at Oxford Hills Chamber of Commerce and the Androscoggin Chamber of Commerce. The next educational session will be a panel discussion at the Androscoggin Chamber with Maureen Callahan, Energy Advisor from Usource, O’Rourke from Optimal Energy Group, and representatives from Efficiency Maine and Central Maine Power. This event will be held on October 23rd from 8-10:30a.
