KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Sept. 5, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The online Master of Science in Supply Chain Management at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville's Haslam College of Business has launched with a full student cohort. The program, created with Noodle Partners, capitalizes on UT's leading role in the supply chain industry to connect students to a thriving network of corporate leaders.
Haslam consistently ranks among the top five schools in the country in supply chain management. The online master's program is the first of 10 such programs that will launch in a university-wide agreement with Noodle Partners.
The initial cohort includes more than 40 students from companies including Apple, J Crew, Nissan, Volkswagen and more. The class, comprised of 39 percent women, 20 percent underrepresented minorities and 7 percent international students, will learn together virtually from their respective home cities.
"The launch of the MS Supply Chain online represents a significant step forward for the Haslam College of Business," said Bruce Behn, associate dean for graduate and executive education at Haslam. "We are extremely proud of this first class and salute their commitment to equipping themselves with the knowledge and skills necessary to become outstanding supply chain leaders as they continue in their careers."
An especially appealing aspect of the program to students is the Global Supply Chain Institute's (GSCI) partnership with industry leaders. More than 250 professionals from 70 top companies gather in Knoxville to share insights, learn and network. More corporate partners work with the GSCI than any other university-based Supply Chain Management program. Partners include such Fortune 100 companies as Google, Amazon, Dell, FedEx Services, PepsiCo, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company and Walmart.
Many of Haslam's corporate partners send their employees to the online master's program and the Executive MBA program, which is ranked No. 1 in the world for curriculum relevance by The Economist.
"This is one of our largest ever inaugural cohorts," said John Katzman, CEO of Noodle Partners. "The market has spoken. Haslam has a powerful position in the supply chain industry and there has been consistent demand from corporations. Students are eager to be a part of the program."
Enrollment is now open for the January 2020 cohort with a priority deadline of October 10, 2019 and a final deadline of December 6, 2019. Learn more and apply.
