More than 500 quilts will transform 50 acres of Ashton Gardens during Garden of Quilts, featuring Melissa Gilbert, Lori Holt and Joanna Figueroa.
LEHI, Utah, Sept. 4, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- More than 500 handmade quilts will transform 50 acres of Ashton Gardens at Thanksgiving Point this September, creating a striking outdoor gallery among waterfalls, flowers, trees and winding garden paths.
Garden of Quilts returns September 16–19, 2026, for its eighth year. Presented in partnership with Riley Blake Designs, the four-day event brings together nationally recognized designers, makers and quilting enthusiasts for one of Utah's most visually distinctive fall events.
This year's featured guests include Melissa Gilbert, star of Little House on the Prairie and founder of Modern Prairie; renowned quilt designer Lori Holt; and Joanna Figueroa, designer and founder of Fig Tree & Co. Special experiences include Gilbert's Modern Prairie Experience and Prairie Picnic, World of Lori Holt, and An Evening with Joanna Figueroa.
"Quilting is timeless, and we're seeing people of all ages embrace its influence in fashion and home design," said Melinda Pike, chief marketing officer at Thanksgiving Point. "Garden of Quilts celebrates that artistry on a grand scale, with hundreds of handmade quilts displayed throughout Ashton Gardens. The signature outdoor exhibition takes place September 18 and 19, when more than 500 quilts will hang throughout Ashton Gardens. Guests can walk among the quilts as they move in the breeze against a backdrop of waterfalls, gardens and Utah's mountain landscape.
Garden of Quilts also features more than 80 classes, lectures and demonstrations for a variety of skill levels, along with a free Vendor Marketplace at the Thanksgiving Point Show Barn featuring fabrics, patterns, handmade goods, quilting supplies and more.
