ValleyStar Credit Union just donated $45,425 to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
MARTINSVILLE, Va., Sept. 4, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- ValleyStar Credit Union proudly presented two checks totaling $45,425 to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN) in support of local children and their families on July 8, 2026.
The check presentation was held at ValleyStar's Administrative Campus, where the funds were presented to Macy Ware, Director, Children's Miracle Network at Carilion Clinic.
Of the total donation, $35,000 was raised through ValleyStar's 30th Annual Golf Tournament, one of the credit union's longest-standing community fundraising events. The tournament's success reflects the incredible generosity of sponsors, golfers, volunteers, and community partners who came together to make a difference for children in Southwest and Central Virginia.
An additional $10,425 was contributed through ValleyStar employees' ongoing payroll giving program, demonstrating the collective impact of employees who choose to give back throughout the year.
