Villarreal announced the launch of Em-Powered Network, a network dedicated to helping female leaders and business owners unlock their fullest potential through community, consulting, and mentorship. Em-Powered Network offers networking opportunities, in addition to webinars and in-person workshops on financial wellness and personal well-being topics, tailored to its community of motivational women.
Co-founders Martinez and Villarreal are leaders in their own fields – Martinez is a financial advisor with a deep understanding of family wealth with experience in both managing teams and helping clients navigate their finances, while Villarreal is a licensed clinical psychologist who has worked in various clinical settings including non-profits, universities, medical centers, and private practice.
Individually, Martinez and Villarreal each have more than 15 years of experience in their respective fields and together they identified a gap between personal well-being and financial wellness and understood the importance of having access to a community of peers to connect with, but struggled to find anything that addressed those needs. As a result, Em-Powered Network was born.
"Financial wellness is a huge part of our overall health. In fact, reports across the board have shown that women experience higher levels of stress about money than their male counterparts," said Martinez, CEO of Em-Powered Network. Em-Powered Network also works with businesses to provide personalized employee seminars and strategic senior management sessions that empower the organization to achieve holistic success. The Em-Powered team creates a customized presentation for the organization on topics like culture, employee satisfaction, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
