Vbrick Announces Mark Ferrer as New Independent Board Member
HERNDON, Va. (PRWEB) October 04, 2018 -- Vbrick, the leader in enterprise video, today announced the appointment of Mark Ferrer to the company’s Board of Directors. Ferrer is currently the Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer at Citrix, where he leads the Global Sales and Services organization in providing solutions that securely deliver the world’s most important apps and data to enable people and businesses to work better.
Ferrer is a seasoned global sales executive, and recently joined Citrix from SAP where, as the chief operating officer and executive vice president of Global Customer Operations, he led go-to-market and customer engagement initiatives for one of the largest sales forces in the technology industry. In his six years at SAP, he was key in integrating significant cloud acquisitions into SAP’s sales motion, oversaw sales for the Platinum customer program, and drove the global Strategic Customer Program.
Earlier this year, Vbrick celebrated a $20M fundraising round, led by Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital, with the expressed goal of investing in the rapid adoption of Vbrick’s video platform into the enterprise market by accelerating the pace of innovation, growing sales and marketing, and fueling the company's partner ecosystem. “Vbrick also worked with Morgan Stanley to find a thought leader with a strong sales background to join our board," said Shelly Heiden, CEO at Vbrick. "Mark is an ideal fit for Vbrick and we are already benefiting from his sales guidance and the fresh perspectives he brings to the team."
Prior to SAP, Ferrer held various leadership roles in the software and services space, including serving as CEO for two public companies and heading global software sales at HP, where he served as vice president of Worldwide Sales and Operations for HP Software & Solutions, and as vice president and general manager of HP Software’s Americas organization, and as vice president of the Americas Communications, Media and Entertainment (CME) industry.
Ferrer brings to Vbrick an extensive background in sales, marketing, solution development, and general management gained through nearly 30 years of experience in the software and services industry. Prior to his career at HP, he was CEO and chairman of Critical Path, Inc., recently acquired by Openwave Messaging, Inc., which provides consumer content and messaging solutions to large telecommunications providers worldwide.
“Vbrick has an incredible product and is the only solution in the market that provides a secure cloud-native architecture for video management along with a scalable first-party enterprise content delivery network.” commented Ferrer. “I'm thrilled to participate as a member of the Board of Directors, and look forward to Vbrick’s continued success and industry impact."
