Vehicle Lineup at Prestige Lexus Features Multiple Award Winners

U.S. News & World Report recently honored both iterations of the Lexus RX with its “2014 Best Cars for Families” awards. The Lexus RX 350 was hailed as the Best 2-Row Luxury SUV, while the RX Hybrid was named Best 2-Row Hybrid SUV. U.S. News decides the winners based on a combination of reliability and safety ratings, professional automotive reviews, seating and cargo volume, and family-friendly features.
Lexus also ranked highest among all brands for the third straight year in the 2014 J.D. Power and Associates Vehicle Dependability Study (VDS). The VDS rates auto models and brands based on the quantity and types of problems owners reported with their three-year-old vehicles. The Lexus ES, GS, and LS all placed first in their respective segments, while six out of the top 10 highest rated models in the survey were Lexus vehicles.
Lexus was named Top Luxury Brand in KBB.com’s 2014 5-Year Cost to Own Awards for the second year in a row. According to a release from Lexus, its vehicles have the lowest depreciation cost of any luxury brand, thanks to strong residual values across the full model lineup. Lexus also ranks among the lowest in insurance and fuel costs, as well as repairs. Individual awards from KBB.com went to the Lexus LS sedan for Top High-End Luxury Car and to the RX 450h for Top Hybrid SUV/Crossover.
